Late at night with almost no notice, the FAA shut down all El Paso airspace for 10 days. This includes all commercial flights in or out of the El Paso airport.
We shouldn't panic, but this is something that hasn't happened since 9/11. Whatever is going on is extremely unusual and possibly dangerous.
Be prepared to help your neighbors and visitors to our communities in west Texas and Southern NM! People will both be stranded in our region and stranded away from home. Pets will need to be fed. People will need rides. Some people may need food or shelter.
